At Lior's Health & Beauty Clinic we use the Ellipse IPL machine for  the removal of unwanted hair. We can treat skin types 1-5 safely. During your consultation  you  will be asked for your medical history at length  and details of  medications you may be taking to ensure that there are no contra indications and that the treatment is 100% suitable for you. How Does IPL work?
Intended Pulsed light uses a one direction focused light. The main difference between an IPL light and a Laser light is the spectrum of light being manipulated.Laser uses a Narrow Spectrum Light whereas IPL uses a 'Broad Spectrum  Focused 'light. It has been thought that the Broad spectrum in IPL is favourable as it's  more  comfortable and a faster process. The Ellipse IPL machine will  transmit  the correct wavelengths of light  via fibre optic tubes to a hand held device. The pigment in the hair is targeted by the light, which then heats up the follicle and alters the cells that create the hair growth. The treatments are painless and  surprisingly take far less time then a waxing treatment.

Recovery Time
For very sensitive skins or skin type no 1 we will apply Alice Vera after the treatment. We prefer clients to shower not bath for the first 24 hours. No fake tans can be applied before or after the treatment for 7 days. No swimming,sauna,steam rooms for 24-48 hours after the treatment. No sunbathing before the treatment and for a week after. After the treatment we recommend applying  a broad spectrum sun protection 30 especially  between  the months of March to November for areas that are uncovered.
